On Thursday 19th Febuary 2026, the Asokwa Municipal Assembly officially handed over the site for the construction of a new health centre at Atonsu, marking another significant step toward improving healthcare delivery within the Municipality.
The handing-over ceremony was performed by the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Amoh Kamel, on behalf of the Assembly. In his remarks, he reaffirmed the Assembly’s strong commitment to expanding access to quality healthcare services and enhancing the well-being of residents.
The proposed health facility is expected to bring essential medical services closer to the people of Atonsu and surrounding communities, reduce pressure on existing facilities, and contribute to improved public health outcomes in the Municipality.
