The Asokwa Municipal Assembly, in collaboration with officials from the World Bank and the Ghana Secondary Cities Support Programme (GSCSP), undertook an inspection of two major infrastructure projects currently under construction within the Municipality—the New Atonsu Agogo Lorry Park and the Asokwa Multi-Purpose Building.
The monitoring exercise provided an opportunity to assess the progress of work, engage with project consultants and contractors, and reaffirm the Assembly’s commitment to the successful completion of these strategic projects. The New Atonsu Agogo Lorry Park has attained 42% completion, while the Asokwa Multi-Purpose Building is 92% complete.
These projects are expected to significantly improve transportation, boost local commerce, enhance municipal service delivery, and provide modern public facilities that will contribute to the socio-economic growth of the Municipality.
The Asokwa Municipal Assembly remains committed to working closely with the World Bank, the Ghana Secondary Cities Support Programme, and other key stakeholders to ensure the timely completion and delivery of these projects for the benefit of all residents.
