On Monday 16th February ,2026. the Municipal Chief Executive for Asokwa, held a special and productive meeting with the Oheneyere of Atonsu S-Line, the Municipal Education Director, the Assembly Member for Atonsu, staff of the Education Directorate, the Headmaster and teachers of Shakuria Islamic Basic School, as well as the Muslim leadership of the school community.
The discussion centered on the construction of a 1-unit Kindergarten (KG) classroom block with an office and store for Shakuria Islamic Basic School – Atonsu.
This important project seeks to:
• Improve early childhood education delivery
• Reduce congestion in existing classrooms
• Provide a safe and conducive learning environment for our children
• Support teachers with proper office and storage facilities Education remains a top priority for the Asokwa Municipal Assembly, and I am committed to working closely with all stakeholders to ensure this project becomes a reality.
Together, we will continue to invest in the future of our children and strengthen education.
